You'll see this effect best right up at the surface nearest the light. I love to allow mine to float around aimlessly, as it only sends out the occasional \"anchor root\", and is easily displaced.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs the name suggests, guppies, tetras, bettas and all similar smaller fish love to dart between and around the fronds. A little light, meh water, and room temperatures are all it needs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI love this in my tanks as they are great at sheltering fry and baby shrimplets. \u003cem\u003eThey are also one of the fastest growing aquarium plants you can get.\u003c\/em\u003e Very similar in that way to duckweed. People buy this stuff just as a quick nitrate\/ nitrite solution. Once it gets going properly, you'll scoop out handfuls a week.
