If they get too much water splashed on their leaves, they'll start to turn brown and rot away.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRed Root floaters are unique in that they keep those bright red roots, even if the rest of the plant has turned green in lower light. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUnder higher light intensity, these get bright bloodred, and can quickly take over your surface. They will also produce tiny little white flowers for you!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMine are grown with minimal fertilizer and lower light\/ room temperatures so that they will adapt to the average tank. They grow in my unheated, unfiltered Walstad tanks as well, so you know they are hardy! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor reference, I have Nicrew SkyLEDs on ten gallon tanks. Temps fluctuate between 65F in the winter to 80F in the summer. I grow these in my personal happy community tanks with colorful guppies, snails, shrimp, and of course, lots of plants!
