Our Mission

At Visionary Pet Foods, we are lifelong nutrition enthusiasts who believe that diet plays a crucial role in health, for both humans and dogs. Backed by 7 years of research from our non-profit KetoPet, which has led the way in improving canine health through nutrition, we set out to create a better way to feed our pets.

Where It All Started

As pet parents ourselves, we searched for commercially available low-carb, ketogenic dog food but couldn't find one that met our standards. This led us to create our own premium low-carb keto food, which is high in fat and protein and contains less than 1g of digestible carbs per cup. Our products combine the benefits of optimal nutrition with the convenience of scoop-and-serve freeze-dried food.

Supporting KetoPet's Mission

Since 2014, our non-profit, KetoPet has rescued dozens of dogs from kill shelters and placed them on a ketogenic diet as a nutritional therapy for cancer. Their incredible findings showed that a low-carb, ketogenic diet could not only improve outcomes for dogs with cancer and other illnesses but also support optimal health and well-being for all dogs.

SHIPPING

Freeze-dried orders ship out Monday through Friday via UPS. Frozen orders ship out Monday through Thursday as 2-day deliveries. Frozen shipments are packed in styrofoam containers and preserved using dry ice.

WHERE DO YOU SHIP?

Our fulfillment centers ship anywhere within the continental United States. If you are located in Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, or any other area outside of the continental U.S. -  please contact us. We will happily find a solution for you!

HOW TO HANDLE FROZEN FOOD SHIPMENTS

We pack frozen dog food in a cooler within a shipping box along with enough dry ice to keep the contents frozen well into the evening of the delivery date. It is best to open the package immediately upon arrival and to put frozen dog food in the freezer. Use gloves when handling dry ice. Fun Fact: the temperature inside that box is about negative 110 degrees F which is colder than your freezer by 100 degrees.  

NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED

FedEx is authorized to leave all packages at the destination without signature which will insure that your frozen keto dog food will not melt due to multiple delivery attempts.  If your package is a gift, please check that the recipient will be in town on the day it will arrive.

TRACKING

When the shipping label is created you will receive an email with your tracking number.  

FINE PRINT

Visionary Pet cannot be responsible for damage or loss of gifts due to unavailable recipient or incorrect address information, or theft. We are not able to change the address or cancel an order once the package has shipped. Please ensure your recipient will be in town on the arrival day.

STANDARD SHIPPING

All orders, other than frozen product will arrive in 5 – 10 business days (or less) from the day we receive your order. However, we always try to ensure that orders arrive sooner. Orders received with longer transit locations than shipping days left in the week will be held for shipment the following Monday. Using standard shipping, your package will arrive Tuesday through Saturday.   

OUR GUARANTEE

To guarantee delivery, we must have the complete and correct address. With our frozen dog food, we are not able to deliver to PO Boxes, A.P.O or F.P.O addresses due the highly perishable nature of the food.  

GIFT MESSAGES AND RECEIPTS

All orders include a packing slip with no pricing information. We enclose a gift card if there has been a message included with the order. We are unable to ship outside of the United States, but an order may be placed internationally for delivery within the US by using PayPal.

Visionary Pet wants you to enjoy our products as much as we do. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 30 days of the original purchase date. Please include your order number and we will happily refund some or all of your purchase.

Please note that we do not guarantee a refund for the full cost of a 22lb bag of our keto dry food. We recommend purchasing a 3.5lb bag of keto dry food before purchasing a full 22lb bag. 

Refunds are issued in the same payment method as the original purchase was made. Credit/debit card transactions can take 3-4 business days to process, and check/money order refunds may take up to two weeks to deliver.
