Shipping & Live Delivery Guarantee

We want every shipment from FGMN to arrive healthy, happy, and ready to thrive. Here’s how we handle shipping, weather protection, and our live arrival guarantee.

Free Winter Shipping Protection

If your order is traveling through areas below 45°F, we’ll automatically include a 96-hour heat pack—at no extra charge. We monitor temperatures along the route and may delay shipping if conditions are too extreme. We’d rather your order arrive a few days late than arrive damaged.

While we insulate as needed, we are not liable for damage caused by prolonged exposure to cold or heat, especially if a package is left outside, in a mailbox, or on a delivery truck after the first attempt.

Live Delivery Guarantee

We guarantee your plants, predatory mites, and other beneficial insects will arrive alive on the first delivery attempt.

To qualify:

  • You must email info@fgmnnursery.com within 24 hours of delivery
  • You must include clear photos of the item and the packaging (including the shipping label)
  • Someone must be available to receive the package at the time of delivery
  • The package must not have been left outside, in a vehicle, or in a mailbox for more than 1–2 hours in extreme temperatures

Only one replacement shipment will be issued per order for predatory mites.

All claims must be submitted by email. We cannot process Live Delivery Guarantee claims by phone, voicemail, or social media.

If Something Arrives Dead or Damaged:

  • Plants are eligible for store credit only
  • Predatory mites and other live insects are eligible for a replacement shipment or store credit

If your claim is submitted more than 24 hours after delivery, we may still offer store credit at our discretion, but this is not guaranteed.

We pack every order with care, but even the best insulation can’t prevent damage if a package sits too long in the wrong conditions. Please open your shipment right away and contact us if there’s an issue—we’re here to help.

Shipping Details – U.S. Only

Orders ship within 5–10 business days, depending on the shipping speed you select. We avoid weekend layovers whenever possible.

  • Most plants ship potted. Larger specimens may ship bare root for safe transit.
  • All items are carefully wrapped in polyfil or newspaper. Insulation is added during extreme temperatures.

Please make sure someone is available to receive your package. Our Live Delivery Guarantee only applies to the first delivery attempt.

Important Address Notes

We do not ship to PO Boxes. Please provide a valid street address.

Refunds and our Live Delivery Guarantee will not be honored if:

  • The address provided is incomplete, invalid, or undeliverable
  • The package is forwarded, rerouted, or handled by a third-party forwarding service

We are not responsible for delays, losses, or damage resulting from address issues.

International Orders

We do not currently ship outside the United States.

Return Policy

Refund policy

Refund & Return Policy

We want you to feel confident ordering from FGMN. While we work hard to send healthy, thriving plants, predatory mites, and tissue culture, these are living products with special handling needs. Our policies are here to make things clear and fair for everyone.

All Sales Are Final for Live Products

Plants, predatory mites, and tissue culture cannot be returned or refunded once shipped, unless we approve it in advance. For tissue culture, the container must be unopened and sealed to qualify for a return.

Please double-check your shipping address when ordering — refunds cannot be issued for addresses that are incomplete, incorrect, or undeliverable.

Live Delivery Guarantee

We guarantee that your plants, predatory mites, and beneficial insects will arrive alive on the first delivery attempt when:

  • You email info@fgmnnursery.com within 24 hours of delivery
  • You include clear photos of the product and shipping label
  • The package was not left outside, in a mailbox, or in a vehicle for more than 1–2 hours in extreme heat or cold
  • Someone was available to receive the package at delivery

Only one replacement shipment will be issued per order for predatory mites.

Claims must be submitted by email. We do not process guarantee claims via phone, voicemail, or social media.

  • Plants: eligible for store credit only
  • Predatory mites and other beneficial insects: eligible for a replacement shipment or store credit
  • Tissue culture: eligible for a refund or store credit only if sealed and unopened

We may offer store credit for claims submitted after 24 hours at our discretion, but this is not guaranteed.

Customer-Initiated Cancellations, Returns & Refunds

If you change your mind after placing an order — whether you request a cancellation, a return, or a refund for any reason not related to product condition or an FGMN error — the following applies:

  • A 17% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund
  • This fee applies to all change-of-mind cancellations, return requests, and refund requests initiated by the customer
  • Once an order has entered processing, it cannot be canceled

This restocking fee helps offset non-refundable payment processing costs, labor, and packing materials that cannot be reused.

Non-Live Item Returns

Non-living items (such as tools, supplies, or apparel) may be returned within 30 days of delivery if unused, in their original packaging, and in new condition.

  • Returns must be approved by email before being sent back
  • The 17% restocking fee applies to all eligible returns initiated by the customer
  • Sale items and gift cards are not eligible for return
  • Refunds (minus the restocking fee) will be processed within 10 business days after we receive and inspect your return

Duplicate or Accidental Orders

Orders placed in error may be canceled within 1 hour if they have not yet entered processing. After that point, they are considered final and subject to the 17% restocking fee if canceled or refunded.

Address and Delivery Issues

Refunds and replacements will not be issued for:

  • Incomplete, invalid, or undeliverable shipping addresses
  • Orders sent to PO Boxes
  • Shipments forwarded or rerouted through third-party services

Our Live Delivery Guarantee only applies to the first delivery attempt and requires that someone is available to receive the package.

Neoseiulus Californicus Treatment Bottles

Treatment for Hot & Dry Conditions

The Biological First Responder.

If your grow is hot, dry, or inconsistent—and spider mites or broad mites are settling in—Amblyseius californicus (syn. Neoseiulus californicus) is the predator that doesn't flinch.

While sachets are for prevention, bottles are for treatment. This product delivers active, hungry adults ready to hunt immediately. They are tough, fast, and flexible, feeding across all pest life stages even when other predators tap out due to heat or low humidity.

How It Works: Immediate Suppression

Unlike sachets which take time to hatch, this bottle contains live adults. There is no waiting period.

  • On-Contact Control: As soon as you release them, they begin hunting eggs, larvae, and adult mites.

  • Environmental Resilience: N. californicus thrives in temperatures from 50°F to 105°F and humidity as low as 40%, making it the only reliable choice for hot tents, greenhouses, and outdoor rows.

  • Starvation Resistance: If they clean up the spider mites, they can survive on pollen or other small arthropods, keeping them in the crop longer than specialized predators like Persimilis.

Targeted Pests

Amblyseius californicus is a Type II Generalist predator. It is your go-to for "real world" suppression where conditions aren't perfect.

  • Two-Spotted Spider Mite (Tetranychus urticae): Primary Target (All Stages)

  • Broad Mites (Polyphagotarsonemus latus): Strong suppression

  • Russet / Rust Mites (Aculops spp.): Effective management

  • Cyclamen Mites (Phytonemus pallidus): Good secondary control

Application Rates & Dosing

Treating an Active Infestation: Because this is a curative treatment, coverage matters.

  • Light Infestation: 5–10 mites per sq. ft. (Apply weekly).

  • Moderate to Heavy: 25–50 mites per sq. ft.

  • Large Scale (Preventative): 25,000–50,000 mites per acre.

Frequency: Reapply every 5–7 days until new pest damage stops and you no longer see live pests. For lasting prevention after the cleanup, follow up by hanging N. californicus sachets.

Application Instructions

Broadcast and Go.

  1. Prep: Gently rotate the bottle to mix the mites evenly with the carrier material.

  2. Apply: Sprinkle the material directly onto the leaves, focusing on "hot spots" where damage is visible.

  3. Timing: Release in the early morning or late evening to reduce stress on the mites.

  4. Support: If possible, mist the leaves lightly before application (not after) to help the carrier stick to the foliage.

Pro Tips

  • Don't wait for webs: Apply at the first sign of stippling or bronzing. If you have heavy webbing, remove it manually or use a vacuum before releasing mites.

  • Chemical Compatibility: Avoid spraying pesticides (even organic oils) for at least 2 weeks before release. Residue kills beneficials.

  • The "Tag Team" Strategy: For heavy spider mite infestations in hot rooms, use Californicus bottles for the general cleanup and Persimilis bottles for the hotspots.

Shipping & Storage

  • Freshness: Ships via Overnight/Next Day Air with a live delivery guarantee.

  • Usage: Use immediately upon arrival for maximum aggression.

  • Storage: If delayed, store at 50–60°F for up to 48 hours.

  • Warning: Do not expose to extreme heat or direct sunlight while in the bottle.
