48mm Metal Jar Lid

The 48mm Metal Jar Lid is the continuous thread metal closure for our smaller glass honey jars. It has a plastisol liner pressed into the interior that compresses against the jar rim when the lid is tightened — no separate insert or foil disc needed. The seal holds for standard honey storage and handles hot-fill processes up to 212°F, so if you're filling jars while the honey is still warm or running a pasteurizing step, this lid handles it.

Available in white and gold. Both are the same thread, same liner, same fit — the choice is purely cosmetic. Gold works well against natural and amber honeys. White gives a cleaner look against dark honeys and reads well under a printed label. If you're not sure which color to start with, white is the more neutral default.

Does Not Work With

• 32 oz Classic Glass Jars and 24 oz Paragon Jars — those use a 63mm Metal Jar Lid
• 43mm jars (1.5 oz sample) — use the 43mm Metal Jar Lid
• 58mm jars (16 oz Paragon, Skep, Bear) — use the 58mm Metal Jar Lid or 58mm Metal Lug Lid
• Plastic jars and bears — those use 38mm or 24/410 plastic lids

Note: Always verify the thread size on your jar before ordering — lid sizes are not interchangeable across different thread finishes.
