Cryptocoryne Wendtii

Available in different options:

  • Bare-root: Red, Green, or Bronze (2-5" tall, at least three leaves)
  • Potted: Red, Green, Bronze, Flamingo, or Tropica (single pot, 2-8" tall depending on variety)
  • Multi-packs: Red, Green, or Bronze (3x, 5x, or 10x pots)

A perfect low light plant! The popular Cryptocoryne Wendtii is available in multiple beautiful color variants.

Color variations:

  • Red, Green, Bronze: Standard varieties, very hardy and low-light tolerant. One of the lowest-light and easiest-to-please plants I carry. Available bare-root, potted, or in multi-packs.
  • Tropica: An unusual variation with that signature hammered bronze look. Stays compact and produces crinkly leaves that can look brown, ruddy, and even orange depending on your lighting and tank conditions. Available potted only (4-8" tall).
  • Flamingo: Unusual and a rather sought-after new type of Cryptocoryne! Stunningly colorful foreground plant. This type is a little more fragile and demanding than the usual Crypts and should not be disturbed once planted. Available potted only (3-5" tall).

I'd place these in the front to mid-ground in your aquascaping, although I have a few that have grown up to 8 inches tall over three years. As I said, slow growing!

Crypts generally grow very slowly and do not like to be disturbed, so plan accordingly!

Crypts will get darker, more pronounced color in higher light environments.

One of the lowest-light and easiest-to-please plants I carry, you should nonetheless expect some leaf melt when it's shipped your way. These like to regrow their leaves when disturbed.

EMERGENT-GROWN or SUBMERGED-GROWN

Growing requirements:

  • 65-80 Degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ph 6-8
  • Low to Medium light intensity (Tropica prefers medium, Flamingo prefers medium to high)
  • Slow growth speed (Tropica has medium growth speed)

As I like to keep real ecosystems in my aquariums, there's always the possibility of harmless snail or dwarf shrimp hitchhikers!
