Purple Waffle Plant

Hemigraphis exotica is a striking, humid-loving tropical plant native to southeast Asia, and just perfect for your terrarium setups!
You'll love this ruffly, upright foliage to add height in your arrangement!

We grow ours bare-root in the back of our filter-- its excellent at helping remove excess nutrients and preventing algae blooms in aquariums.

Purple Waffle is equally at home in a bog, Paludarium hybrid, or fully potted set-up. They should NOT be completely submersed into water.
If you'd like to grow this plant in a pot in your home, they need a bright window, without direct sunlight. You'll scorch the leaves in a sunbeam! Mine do very well under a covered porch in the summers here in Kansas.

These bare-root specimens are already transitioned to growing their roots fully submerged in water. 


As in the sample photos above, there will be some variation in size and branching. It's just the nature of the beast. The ones I send to you WILL be healthy, happy, growing merrily, and be ready to plant!
