Match the Kit to the Species

There is no universal terrarium kit. Bearded dragons need a 4x2x2 minimum with 100-110°F basking and high-UVB lighting. Leopard geckos do well in 20-gallon setups with under-tank heat and low humidity. Ball pythons need belly heat, 60-80% humidity, and hides on both warm and cool sides. What Every Quality Kit Should Include

At minimum: appropriately sized enclosure, screen top, thermostat-compatible heat source, UVB bulb for your species, digital thermometer/hygrometer, water dish, two hides, and appropriate substrate. Kits with dial thermometers or inadequate lighting are a false economy.

Temperature and Lighting: Non-Negotiables

Every enclosure needs a verified warm end, a cool end, and the ability to move between them. Without a thermal gradient, reptiles cannot digest food or fight infection properly.
