Enrichment isn’t optional—it’s emotional health

Many “problem behaviors” in small pets are really boredom or stress: bar chewing, pacing, hiding, or nippiness. Enrichment gives your critter a healthy outlet.

Easy enrichment categories

  • Chewables (species-safe)
  • Foraging (scatter feeding, hidden treats)
  • Hide-and-seek (tunnels, hides)
  • Movement (species-appropriate activity)

Rotation beats overload

Offer 2–4 items at a time, then rotate weekly. This keeps novelty high and clutter low.
