Bored ferrets get creative

Ferrets are smart, busy, and built to explore. Without daily enrichment, they often turn that energy into nipping, digging, and “stealing everything.” Enrichment gives them safe outlets.

Enrichment staples ferrets love

  • Tunnels and tube runs
  • Interactive toys (rotate weekly)
  • Dig boxes (safe materials only)
  • Foraging (hide treats in toys, not on the floor)

Rotation rule

Keep 3–5 toys out, store the rest, and rotate weekly to keep novelty high.
