Anubias Nana Pinto

Anubias Nana Pinto is a bred strain with unique white-green patterns caused by a lack of chlorophyll. Each leaf and plant has its own distinct pattern, the result of careful selection and propagation throughout the years.

Anubias Nana Pinto grows slower than other species, so use bright light and Co2 for healthy plants.

Bare root are 1-2" tall.

EMERGENT-GROWN

These types of plants do not like to be buried, as their little roots will quickly rot. You can use thread or Cyanoacrylate super glue to attach it to rocks, driftwood, or other decorations. They stay neat and tidy! Try your hand at a Bonsai Driftwood centerpiece!

Anubias are hardy and slow-growing. Perfect for tough livestock such as goldfish and certain cichlids. Tolerates lower light, and is pretty difficult to kill in my opinion!

One thing to note: As Anubias are slow growers, algae growth can be a concern. Just keep an eye on your parameters, and put your lights on a little plug-in timer. Six hours of light is plenty.

Growing requirements:

  • 65-80 Degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ph 6-8
  • Medium light intensity.
  • Slow growth speed

As I like to keep real ecosystems in my aquariums, there's always the possibility of harmless snail or dwarf shrimp hitchhikers!
