Hygro Corymbosa Compacta (Hygrophila Compacta)

$5.99 USD

Hygro Corymbosa Compacta (Hygrophila Compacta)

An excellent beginner broad-leaved plant, Hygrophila Compacta (sometimes called 'Dwarf Nomaphila Siamensis') is perfect for your aquarium midground. Bettas just love it!

These won't need anything special in terms of lighting, filtration, or temperatures, and pretty much do just fine no matter what. They are similar to, but tougher than Cardinal plants and Temple plant.

Hygro Compacta does need a bit of trimming to keep it bushy. Just replant the trimmings for more! While they only need medium intensity lighting, under higher lights, Hygro will reward you with beautiful orange and reddish tinted-leaves.

Their broad tolerance for aquarium conditions makes them an absolute favorite for aquarists across skill levels. They can grow immersed or submerged!

Available in different options:

  • Bare-root - 3+" tall branched/rooted plant, varies in natural state
  • Potted - Well-rooted and developed, 3-6" tall for quicker acclimation

EMERGENT-GROWN

Growing requirements:

  • 65-80 Degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ph 6-8
  • Medium to high light intensity
  • Medium-quick growth speed

As I like to keep real ecosystems in my aquariums, there's always the possibility of harmless snail or dwarf shrimp hitchhikers!
